Mrs. Green Jeans

Tony and I are going to attempt to make baby food from veggies in our garden. This could be interesting....in a few weeks we'll be overrun with squash and zucchini...and there is only so much you can do with it. So little daisy will get some homemade food.

Daisy has started to realize how loud she can be. she yells and bangs on things. i love it! we are going to take a trip to grandma (ruru) and grandpa's later this week. hopefully we'll get a chance to go to the lake and swim!!

Back in the saddle...

So it's been forever since I posted. I'm sure my readers are...wait, I have no readers...

anyway. i'm currently sitting at home watching "so you think you can dance". i am so glad i'm not single, as i'm sure i'd be doing the same thing...but it's just not as depressing when you are married with a six month old. i'm also pretty sure, given a case of beer, i could be on this tv show.

daisy is almost crawling. she's getting so big, so fast...the insane part of me wants to have another one. but the part of me that would like to sleep more than 5 hours at a time is prepared to hold off for a while. she is just the most amazing thing in the entire world.

i don't have much to update. just though i'd try to get better about posting...i'm off to practice my dance moves...

Furniture shopping is from the devil...and of course we pick the day when it's pouring down rain to go...naturally we didn't find anything. don't be distressed, it took us a year to settle on a bedroom set...we ended up getting the first one we'd looked at.

i'm so ready to have something done with our house...whatever, i don't care. i just can't stand it. we live one step above male college students, and only one step because we own and don't rent. daisy's room is the only one that is decorated, and it's not even finished. i think one day the hormones are going to take over and i'm going to go Tawanda and start tearing down the walls...literally...

I'm in the home stretch of my maternity leave, and i'm SO sad about it. who would have thought five years ago that i'd be filling my days with drool and diaper changes...and loving it..(well okay, if you want to change the poop diapers i'd let you...but you know what i mean)

alright i'm off to watch LOST...so i can be confused for yet another week.

No fun...

So this is officially my last week home with Daisy. My maternity leave ends and I have to go back to hearding cats on the 25th...and i'm just not sure how i feel about it. I'm pretty sure that Daisy is going to look different everyday when I come home. I never thought i'd want to be a stay at home mom...but right now i'm wishing i'd found that sugar daddy....

at least i will have some entertaining stories when i get back to work. on my last visit one of the young people i work with said "hey Mrs. ____, you look renewed" i'm assuming that means you no longer look pregnant...who knows...another asked "have you already had your baby?" and you know, that makes you feel really good about your post pregnancy shape. (which i assure you is not turning heads in a good way...)

well that's all for now. i know, i know....i'll come back when things are at least more entertaining. oh, daisy almost rolled over yesterday. that's exciting right?

Introductions Please....

So...I'm sure this will be a hot spot for all internet surfers with "my" public eagerly awaiting every post...so..I guess I should tell you a little about me.

I am married and just recently had the most perfect little girl. We'll call her Daisy, after my favorite flower(well, that and Gerber just sounds stupid...). She is absolutely the most wonderful thing I've ever done, or been a part of. I just adore everything about her. Who'd of thought just a few short years ago that I would be all settled...hmmm...

My current profession some days amounts to hearding cats. It's one of those jobs where you feel so wonderful one day (like you are really making a change) and so pointless the next...needless to say I work with teenagers.

I have some amazing friends... i'm a fan of ellipsis marks...I like my dog more than I like most people...

unfasten your seatbelt...this is my life....
